I normally don’t cook with chocolate, but couldn’t resist when I discovered this recipe on Elana’s Pantry over the weekend. The balls have a smooth, truffle-like texture while being the product of much healthier ingredients: walnuts, dates, dark chocolate chips, vanilla, and a little salt in a food processor.

– While the dates gummed up my blender, they worked fine in the food processor.
– Since these sweets consist largely of nuts and dates, they’re significantly more satisfying than other chocolate snacks.
