Over the 10 springtime days I traveled in Austria and Slovakia, the weather “acted out” just once–the Tuesday I woke up in Bratislava. Rather than being coy, misty and semi-picturesque, the sky instead opted to pour and pour rain down.
The upside of this downpour is that it gave me an excuse to sit and read in Foxford Coffee, located in Bratislava’s historic center. It’s the dictionary definition of a cozy space (see picture above), and even includes a small cookie with your coffee order.
If there’s one thing I learned during this latest trip, it’s that quality downtime is as important as any itinerary item!
